- As a Naval Aviator and Naval Helicopter Pilot, (a SH-3H Seaking)
our professional society, the Naval Helicopter Association (NHA) has one of the better web pages around! I particularly like the definition of a Fighter Pilot and believe it reflects well on a lot of us out here struggling with so many people who have no principles! For a look at the Air Force Combat Helicopter organization, try JollyGreen. For a nice look at my old home, try America’s Ship, USS Constellation(CV-64)! as well as the USS Enterprise, CVAN-65, USS Ranger CV-61, USS Hewitt DD-966, USS Kinkaid DD-965 and HMS Antrim D-18 .….All of which I flew helicopters from..Naval Helicopter Association Historical Society (NHAHS)
- Here are two pictures of me in 1979 at RNAS Portland, Weymouth, Dorset, giving a tour to Lt Jim Gray, USN of my HMS Antrim Flight’s aircraft, a Westland Wessex HAS Mark III ASW Helicopter, #406…….it was a great bird to fly…during the Falklands War of 1982, this Antrim Flight and this specific aircraft sank the Argentine submarine.
