Brattland ’66 Ford Fairlane GT

Mike Brattland’s ’66 Ford Fairlane 2 Dr Hardtop GT 390 4 speed. Car came home to El Cajon in mid November 2014 from Tempe Arizona. Car was originally sold in Southern California but migrated to Arizona in 1991.

The car has been completely sand blasted underneath, engine compartment and trunk and sealed. Absolutely no rust. The complete drivetrain has been rebuilt, including front and rear suspension, adding SSBC 4 Wheel Disc brakes, completely rebuilt Toploader 4 speed transmission with Hurst linkage and new driveshaft. The rear end has been completely updated with 31 spline rear axles, 3.50 gears and 31 spline trac-Loc. Runs overload shocks/springs. The 1966 Ford Fairlane 390 GT motor has been completely rebuilt including correct original 1966 Ford 390 GT heads, stainless valves, stock valve train, forged alum pistons, Isky 280 Mega Hydraulic Camshaft, Weiand Alum Water Pump, Ford alum 6V Intake Manifold with Holley List 2436/2437 carburetors, Tube headers, Flowmaster Sieries 40 mufflers using an “x” pipe.

The car runs Magnum 50 Styled Steel Wheels front and back, 6×16 front and 7×15 in the rear.
